Design and Display
From its looks, you don’t have to tell this is one premium device. The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 features a design language comparable to that of the Galaxy S8 Plus. It has curved glass both on the front and rear. At 195 grams, the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 has to be the bulkiest Note to date. It is both water and dust resistant.
A humongous 6.3-inch Super AMOLED display offers ample space for content viewing. Images should be super sharp with Quad HD resolution of 1440 x 2960 pixels and roughly 521 ppi pixel density. Samsung Galaxy Note 8 also supports an S-Pen that you can use to draw and translate.
Camera and Storage
The Samsung Galaxy Note 8 looks to be a photography enthusiast’s favourite. You will notice a dual 12MP setup on the rear. This completes with dual LED, dual tone flash, phase detection autofocus, optical image stabilisation (OIS), and 2X optical zoom. It shoots high quality 4K videos.
You also get an equally robust 8MP front facing shooter with f/1.7 aperture, Auto HDR and autofocus for selfies. This shoots 2K videos at 30 fps.
Hardware and Other Features
It is normal to expect nothing less than the best of performance from a device in this range. And you are going to get that with a flagship class Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 chipset running at up to 2.35 GHz on offer. But it appears the Samsung Galaxy Note 8 will come with an in-house Exynos 8895 octa-core processor in some markets.
The phablet offers generous 6 GB of RAM. It comes in 64GB, 128GB and whopping 256GB storage variants. Interestingly, you will still be able to expand storage. There is also talk about a model that offers 4GB RAM. Samsung Galaxy Note 8 boots latest Android 7.1.1 (Nougat) operating system.
In addition to a rear mounted fingerprint scanner, you also have an iris scanner for unlocking the Samsung Galaxy Note 8. It offers a reversible USB Type-C port. A 3,300mAh battery with fast charging support provides juice.
